This site has been created by the initiative of Nicole Gravier-Bonnet, Ph.D., Oceanography, within the framework of the program ETIC (http://etic.univ-reunion.fr/) , which is financed by the European Union and le Conseil Regional of Reunion. The following participants have played a great part in its conception and its elaboration: a) ETIC's computer technicians (Stéphane Caldéroni, Maëlle Raude) and the web designer (Bertrand Pascal), who have contributed their technical knowledge, b) those who were involved in the steering committe (Alain Barrère, Lola Massé, Yannick Geynet ...)who shared their expectations and a vision of the site's potential based on the given information, c) the students Isabelle Bandama and Johnny Leveneur, who were responsible for the first technical phase of the site, and last but not least, d) the biologists Horia Galea and Marie-Line Lebon who actively contributed to the last phases.
